Hello to all readers of Ø of ambient! Please welcome our fourth guest, a French musician: lyrλmbient.  What is your past ?   117k listeners in 2026. I started producing in 2024. My best tracks were “I can't describe what I'm feeling”, “how does it feel to be alone”, and “please just be real”, which have reached a growing audience online. I was first influenced by artists like diedlonely, oneheart and antent. What is your present ?   My artname is lyrλmbient, I’m French and I’m 20. My creative process is usually based on nostalgia and solitude. I like creating calm, emotional soundscapes inspired by nature. I start a stem with a mood or a feeling and develop it into a full track, keeping the sound minimal and focused. Outside of music, I love doing graphic design.   What is your future ?  My future album is planned for autumn 2026, I will continue building my personal sound in the dark ambient scene. Hello to all readers of Ø of ambient! Please welcome our third guest, a Brazilian-Russian-Kazakh musician: manuellk.mp3. What is your past?  I was born in Russia but grew up in Brazil. My dad is Brazilian, so I inherited his natural sense of rhythm. F amily used to call me O menino do Tambor ,  “little drummer” in Portuguese.  At 12, I was introduced to music production through creators like Sr. Sider and PMM. Two years later, in 2023, I installed FL Studio and began creating my first tracks, initially exploring brazilian phonk.  Then I discovered dark ambient with the track “this world is sick” by Antent and it became my lasting genre.  What is your present ? My name is Manuel Ikishiev Kolostrov. I am 17-year-old. Hello all readers of Ø of ambient! Please welcome our first guest, musician from Belarus : DXSTROYED. What is your past?  2.6 million monthly listeners on streaming platforms last year. My absolute record! I had listeners from all over the world. I started producing when I was 12, taking main inspiration from rap music and its versatility. While aging, I felt more drawn to ambient music emotionally. What is your present? I am 19 years old and I live in Belarus. I love nature, especially lakes, forests and foggy winter mornings which I feel very deeply attached to and try to convey into my production.  I hope you can sense this calmness, balance and space.  On a personal level, one of my proudest achievements is knowing that my mum genuinely enjoys my music and listens to it daily, which gives my work deeper meaning beyond numbers. What is your future? I love collabs. I hope to be doing much more of them this year.  I will continue exploring different paths within amb...

What is Yellow Ambient ?

Image
When I hear music, I see colours. So I classify ambient music following my intuition and feeling.  Yellow Ambient has a calm, autumn and childish vibe. It’s the most cheerful ambient type. It uses organical sounds such as singing birds, falling leaves or laughing people.  This ambient reminiscences me of my childhood memories and moments.  It connects with sunny days at the playground, fields to run into or paintings of women and men. Heres the link to my yellow ambient playlist:  https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0oQtNRlfEenIjO6HhWuThP?si=cA5lPCPjQhqUlLVNbflCfA&pi=cHwQgJqxTDmKE Other ambient colours will follow soon !

What does Ø mean? And why so many musicians use it for style.

I can see four reasons for this : Ø (as well as Å or Æ) looks so freezingly Scandinavian that your random .mp3 instantly looses at least 10 degrees C° and feels lonelier and fancier. Ø means island. Yep. Lonely and fjordy again. Ø also means zero which leads us to subzero sublime æsthetic. Ø   = half diminished chord. Gloomy and melancholic.
